## Overview

### Key benefits of DutyOS

\* Each load a permitted site receives is recorded, checked against DEFRA's rules and sent to DEFRA's Digital Waste Tracking service.
\* Waste codes come from all 842 codes in DEFRA's catalogue, reconciled against DEFRA's live service, so a retired or mistyped code cannot get through.
\* A photo of the driver's paperwork is kept with the receipt as evidence.
\* The two working day deadline is counted for each load, in UK time.
\* Carriers file transfer notes with every statutory field, signed on screen and locked once filed.
\* Nothing is charged per load, per note or per user.

Since 1 October 2026 a permitted site in England and Wales must report every load it receives to DEFRA's Digital Waste Tracking service within two working days.\n\nFor a receiving site, the load is logged at the gate or at the weighbridge, and the site's name, permit number and address fill in from its settings instead of being typed for every load. The waste code is chosen from all 842 codes in DEFRA's catalogue, a photo of the driver's paperwork is kept with the receipt as evidence, and the deadline for each load is shown in UK time. Receipts can be exported to CSV at any time.\n\nFor carriers, DutyOS files a waste transfer note with every statutory field in one form, takes the signature on screen and locks it once the note is filed. DutyOS is on GOV.UK's list of software providers for the Report receipt of waste service, records are stored in London, and DutyOS Ltd holds a Cyber Essentials certificate. Receiving sites start at £19.99 + VAT a month, with 7 days free.","image":"https://images.g2crowd.com/display-layer-screenshots/2144429/c8bb3e49-873b-440c-8c34-1b696fb63112-1-Record-a-waste-receipt.png","url":"https://www.getapp.ca/software/2378683/dutyos","@id":"https://www.getapp.ca/software/2378683/dutyos#software","@type":"SoftwareApplication","applicationCategory":"BusinessApplication","publisher":{"@id":"https://www.getapp.ca/#organization"},"operatingSystem":"Cloud"},{"@id":"https://www.getapp.ca/software/2378683/dutyos#breadcrumblist","@type":"BreadcrumbList","itemListElement":[{"name":"Home","position":1,"item":"/","@type":"ListItem"},{"name":"Waste Management Software","position":2,"item":"/directory/1321/waste-management/software","@type":"ListItem"},{"name":"DutyOS","position":3,"item":"/software/2378683/dutyos","@type":"ListItem"}]}]}
