Inventory that stays current without manual work. Device data flows from Jamf, Kandji or Intune on a schedule, so the asset register reflects the fleet as it is rather than as it was at the last spreadsheet update.

Audit evidence that already exists when the auditor asks. The custody chain is append-only and timestamped, so questions about who held a device, when it changed hands, and whether encryption was enforced are answered from records rather than reconstructed from memory and email.

One record for IT and finance. Technical data from the MDM and financial data - purchase cost, depreciation, warranty, purchase order - live on the same asset, which removes the reconciliation step between an IT inventory and a fixed asset register.

Coverage beyond managed endpoints. Monitors, docks, phones, spare stock and software licences are tracked in the same system as MDM-managed devices, closing the gap that MDM-only inventory leaves.
