I then upgraded to a paid version (which I currently get from a membership) and I love it even more. Second the features - This application allows me to do note taking and task and management in one application. When I am able to think of something and jot it down It is seamless. But when I go to review that note and notice that there are some tasks that I want to tackle in that note I'm able to just make them a task without opening up a whole other note. This allows my digital clutter to remain very minimal if I don't collect all my thoughts in separate notes which I have consolidated my notes into an inbox note which has been very helpful. Being able to also export and import notes from different devices has been very beneficial as I transition from one application to this one. > > **Cons**: The thing I like the least about the amplenote application is the widgets. As of right now the task widget that is on the home screen does not allow me to check the task complete from the home screen. When I click on the widget it sends me to the application which then sends me to the last note which then I have to back out so then find my task. I have Also grown to dislike how if I close the app on my phone or on my browser or desktop application but do not completely leave a note when I open up that application again it returns back to the note that I left off on. Not so much a fan of that feature as it means that I'm often having to do multiple steps before just adding the note. > > I have recommended this application to just about everyone between colleagues to clients from new professionals to people who have been in the field for decades. All tasks live inside notes and tasks can be added to any note inline. The tasks also shows up in a central task management dashboard like any other task manager, which can then further be dragged and dropped onto the calendar to schedule the tasks. This is a game changer design and is best suited to my needs. > > **Cons**: The biggest con is the software design, a bit dated and a bit plain for my liking, but that is my personal observation.
