The employee self-service portal is also a huge plus, allowing staff to access paystubs, W-2s, and benefits easily. > > **Cons**: It would be great if Gusto offered more robust reporting options for performance and proper tracking for attendance. > > Gusto offers excellent value for small to mid-sized businesses with transparent pricing and well-integrated payroll, time tracking, and performance tools. It’s user-friendly, easy to maintain, and backed by responsive customer support, though asset and work order management rely on external integrations. ----- ### "Helps me run my business with convenience" — 5.0/5 > **Erica** | *October 15, 2025* | Construction | Recommendation rating: 3.0/10 > > **Pros**: Gusto is very easy to use and the cost is reasonable compared to other services. Payroll is always on time. I’ve really been impressed with their add on services (the HR service helped me write my employee handbook, there is an add subscription for labor law posters to keep us in compliance, and I’m looking into 401k). > > **Cons**: It’s a little less one-on-one that services I’ve used before. Which I generally don’t need. But I had a complicated problem (that was partly my fault) and it was very difficult to find someone who understood what was going on. > > Overall it’s been good. I’ve preferred the easy of the system and the cost is much better than other services I’ve used. ----- ### "Good for Small Businesses" — 4.0/5 > **Johnny** | *September 24, 2025* | Consumer Services | Recommendation rating: 7.0/10 > > **Pros**: Value for Money Features Process Implementation We recently moved away from Gusto to Rippling due to our company growth, but enjoyed gusto for the basic services it provided to us at a smaller size. > > **Cons**: Customer Support was challenging. We had to wait for issues that caused us cost and led to losses in Payroll. ----- ### "Works well" — 5.0/5 > **Danielle** | *May 8, 2025* | Commercial Real Estate Software | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10 > > **Pros**: Ease to get paid by employers as a contract worker. > > **Cons**: Time it takes for a deposit to hit if there is a holiday. > > Roughly 1yr using it for processing payments for remote contract work. So far so good mins if there is a holiday pay date is always pushed back. ----- Page: 1 / 3\ Next: [Next page](https://www.getapp.ca/software/2079233/gusto-1?page=2) ## Links - [View on GetApp](https://www.getapp.ca/software/2079233/gusto-1) ## This page is available in the following languages | Locale | URL | | en | | | en-AE | | | en-AU | | | en-CA | | | en-GB | | | en-IE | | | en-NZ | | | en-SG | | | en-ZA | | ----- ## Structured Data
