> **Pros**: The browser-based DICOM viewer is the standout: studies open quickly, no software to install, and it works equally well on a workstation or a laptop on the move. Per-study access control is exactly the right granularity for shared cases — collaborators see what they need and nothing else. The GDPR posture is serious rather than cosmetic (proper audit trails, granular consent, EU-friendly hosting), which mattered a lot in our evaluation. Onboarding was straightforward, and the integration with existing PACS via their API was much less painful than the equivalent exercise tends to be in this space.

> **Cons**: Some of the structured reporting templates need configuration before they fit a given specialty's workflow well. A few additional viewer keyboard shortcuts for power users would also be a welcome addition.

> I use Medicai primarily for uploading and sharing DICOM studies — mostly CT and MRI — with colleagues and referring clinicians, and the experience has been consistently smooth. Uploads are straightforward regardless of study size, and the recipients can open the images directly in the browser without needing to install a viewer or deal with the usual CD-and-courier routine. The per-study sharing model fits how we actually work: I share exactly the study that's relevant to a given case, with the people who need to see it, and nothing more. Across the studies I've shared so far, I haven't run into upload failures or compatibility issues with the DICOM data, which in this category is genuinely not a given. Overall it has replaced several older, more cumbersome workflows for me and I'd recommend it without hesitation to colleagues handling cross-site imaging.
