Have been doing so for years. There have been times where I've questioned the results, but any time I've asked a professional's opinion, the software has always been proven correct. In other words, it's accurate, as far as I have ever been able to prove. You start your return by bringing in the data from last year (assuming you used the product last year). This saves you a lot of typing, because you really only have to update the data in the current year. So anything that's the same as last year is a snap to handle this year. The return is done in "interview" fashion. The software guides you through the different sections of a return, asking questions along the way. It saves your work as you go so you can leave and come back later. All in all, it's pretty intuitive to use. But beware: no software in the world is going to tell you you've made a silly mistake. In other words, your accountant might notice a silly typo in your return, that the software couldn't possibly notice. So you have to be your own proof-reader.
