> **Pros**: Lots of features and functionality that helps give a user advanced calculations and statistics. It has everything you could possibly think of - from Machine Learning to simple Stat tests. It's very useful and powerful - it can compute hard calculations in seconds\! They have great support and a lot of people use this so it has become a bit of an industry standard.

> **Cons**: I just think that there is other software that people may want to use so they are not wasting money. SAS is really expensive especially compared to the free alternatives out there that may work just as well for your business solution. For example, we were using a code that calculates a fee that we have to submit to governments - however, the price on SAS does not justify using this software when I found out we could just use R/RStudio for this instead. Also, it is easier to get better printouts in other software compared to this.

> Great product, great power - but please find out first if you need this. SAS will make it seem like you need it for your needs but there are free alternatives that may be fine for you especially if you are not using the software as often or just need it to run simple data analytics with easy print outs.

> **Pros**: This product is very easy to implement and even easier to use.  The analysis tools provided are superior to any of SAS's competitors.

> **Cons**: I cannot think of one con.  The product is so easy to use and once you've developed your datasets, you can do almost anything.  It does take planning to use properly, but using the SAS Datamanagement Process helps.

Not only does the software allow for seamless connection to internal databases, but it can also be used to create SAS datasets, ultimately taking the burden off of critical databases and minimizing risk to the company.

> **Cons**: The learning curve and breadth of knowledge is very large. It takes a while for a user to become proficient with SAS and the training tools can be quite expensive for the small and medium size companies.
