However, the key feature for this user is that the database is self-hosted (can be either on a PC/Mac or cloud), which means one can have the information in a secure setting, with appropriate backups.

> **Pros**: The features that are crucial for my choosing an app are offline functionality, reasonable pricing and nice UI. All of which I found in Stacks. I was just looking for a simple kanban app that fit the above checklist and Stacks gave that and more. More included other ways to view all tasks. 

My most used views are list, table and calendar which reminded me of Notion's. The dashboard also gives the numbers on how many things I'm supposed to do, have done or are overdue. As a student with a ton of requirements, all this has been helpful for me.

This is the best software in terms of free or the premium version is the best bang for buck ( it has a ton of features for project management )
