> **Pros**: The beauty of STREAM is that the design of the database enables 

1) a high degree of flexibility to cater for any organisation's needs and 
2) the ability to link various entities to give a complete view of the issues around risks - be that incidents, control deployment, policy compliance, vulnerability management, audit findings, etc.
> 
> **Cons**: The interface for users of STREAM has something of a learning curve, however, the new WebForms functionality allows modern front-end, branded interaction with the database, without having to use the user interface.
> 
> We are using STREAM in the main for information security risk management, and this is not being expanded to cover customer management, industry-standards compliance and IT risk management.
