The systems talk to each other and make coding and billing easy. We use a billing company, and they submit the claims and follow things through to the end for us. It's a very simple process. With Practice Mate, you can bill participating and non-participating providers through their system, and it's all free\! The only time you have to pay is if more than half of your submitted claims for the month are non-participating, but even then it only costs $35 for the month, regardless of how many claims are submitted. Theres a reason why I’ve been using them for the last decade. The phone support is amazing and not only helps you resolve any challenges you’re having but helps you learn how to avoid it repeating. The template for diagnosis, CPT codes, POS and modifiers are very easy to set up and saves a lot of time. No other system has been as efficient in this area. They’ve added a video library that can help you not only learn how to use the software but it’s there 24/7 when you do need to fix a mistake you made. While it started off free, they kept it free for as long as they could. Eventually it had to change and it's still very affordable. Customer support hasn't been top notch but I believe Office Ally is working on that. Technology has it's hiccups but we rarely have any issues. Our claims are generally seamless with an occasional issue because of the way payers change their standards. The features make it easy to customize the way we use them with being able to bring reports into Excel\! Patients' billing statements, especially are user friendly. All in all, Office Ally's Practice Mate seems to have outstanding security with no issues that I'm aware of. > > **Cons**: Practice Mate has so-so customer support as of late.
