Cloud-based PDF reader for viewing and editing PDF documents

About Adobe Acrobat Reader

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a cloud-based software designed to help businesses view, sign, and annotate PDF documents from desktops, browsers, or mobile devices. Using the fill & sign tool, administrators can automatically detect multiple fields across forms, add texts, symbols, or signatures, and store them in Adobe Document Cloud for future reference.

Using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, enterprises can create customizable forms by adding various elements such as drop-down lists, barcodes, digital signature fields, list boxes, and more. Managers can utilize the drag-and-drop interface to add Adobe Sign fields in PDF documents and send completed forms to specific recipients via emails or internal servers such as SharePoint or network folders. The software also helps users integrate JavaScript language with multiple documents, enabling them to configure forms and connect it with several databases via Open Database Connection (ODBC).

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC allows businesses to edit PDF documents by highlighting, striking off, or underlining specific texts and adding comments or notes in the source file. Administrators can also convert and export PDF files in various formats including Word, Excel, or rich text format (RTF).

Highest Quality PDF Software, But Pricey!

I have been using Acrobat for years now. There are many uses for the software and it's hands down the best on the market. I've tried other PDF software, but they no where near compare to Acrobat in terms of functionality nor quality. I use it for everything from printing thermal shipping labels, editing PDFs, scanning documents and converting to OCR, and signing documents. The possibilities really are endless.

Pros

My absolute most favorite thing about Adobe Acrobat is the OCR scan function. I use my desktop scanner to scan in documents and the OCR function is able to accurately convert the document into readable, searchable, and editable text. I scan probably 2,000 pages of documents every month, so this definitely comes in handy when I want to go back later and find a particular document by searching for a couple keywords or particular content. Another one of my favorite things is the ability to edit any PDF. I can remove text/images, combine documents, sign pages, etc.

Cons

I have the professional version of Acrobat, so it does get a bit pricey. Adobe now gives you access to the software by charging a flat monthly or annual rate for a 1-year license. Previously, you could just buy the software outright. The only benefit to paying for an annual license is that you never have to worry about the software being outdated or bug-ridden. With Acrobat being the best PDF software on the market, I sort of see the cost-factor as something that's practically inevitable.

Reasons for Switching to Adobe Acrobat Reader

PDF Expert, as far as I know, does not have OCR capabilities. Plus, the cost of PDF Expert is only half that of Acrobat and I felt more comfortable with Acrobat as I had used it previously and feel that the Adobe brand is top-of-the-line.

Over all, the product works well for it's main intended uses. However, some of the expansion items (like scaling/measure tools) have started to cause issues over all and the reading/initializing of documents for said tools has slowed to a crawl over the past few months.

Pros

I like that I can combine, redact and edit .pdf files.

Cons

The measuring feature for scaleable documents was originally one of my favorites. But recently, there has been issues with the scaling tool not working correctly, thus making it more of a disappointment than an exciting feature.

After using this app very thankful to this App because with the good clarity we can take unlimited printouts for single page if it is in this pdf format and exactly acrobat reader is helping for this..

Pros

I am very happy by using this app beacause of whenever print is needed in urgency it helps to take in mobile and take the print out easily. These are really useful for a Store where everyone is using it. and it's not critical for anyone who just want's their resume, textbook. documents in a PDF format so it always prints to one page.

Cons

Reader allows users to fill out forms in PDFs, but it can't be change any existing text or formatting. It means editing is not possible and large size file taking time to open.
