Google Sheets
About Google Sheets
Google Sheets is a cloud-based spreadsheet platform designed to help businesses of all sizes collaborate with clients and partners to create and edit data on spreadsheets. The artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled system allows employees to add collaborators to projects, view real-time changes in the sheet, and chat with team members from within documents.
The application lets administrators set expiration dates on projects and grant permissions to download, copy, or print content among specific collaborators. Stakeholders can utilize the explore functionality to view trends and gain data insights through customizable visuals in real-time. Google Sheets offers data loss prevention (DLP) module, which enables organizations to detect potential data breaches and prevent data leak by blocking sensitive data visibility among unauthorized members.
Google Sheets provides an API and Zapier integration, which lets businesses connect with several third-party platforms such as BigQuery, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Apps Script, Trello, Slack, Mailchimp, and more. Other features include information rights management (IRM), customizable templates, analytics, collaboration, survey creation, revision history, conditional formatting, and more.

Overall, my experience with Google Sheets has been highly positive. The intuitive interface, real-time collaboration, and versatile functionalities for data analysis make it a valuable tool. While occasional performance issues with large datasets exist, the collaborative features significantly outweigh any drawbacks, enhancing efficiency in various tasks

The real-time collaboration feature is a standout aspect of Google Sheets. It's incredibly convenient to work simultaneously with others, making teamwork seamless and boosting productivity.
Cons
At times, handling very large datasets in Google Sheets can lead to performance lags or slow loading times, especially when using complex formulas or extensive data manipulations.

Overall, for me, Google Sheets seems to be the best choice for a sheet app. It works great for my needs and integrates nice with Google Workspace.
Pros
The most I liked is that is an web based app, is safely stored in Google Drive and is accessible from any device. It works very fast even with large amounts of data and is not limited by the PC performance like Excel. Another great feature in my opinion is the sharing and collaborating within the sheet with ease. When sharing I have the option to give viewer or editor permission so I can allow just specific people to add data.
Cons
After switching from Excel, I found out that not all formulas are the same.

Overall Google Sheets is an essential tool for my small business and when collaborating with other people. If I ever get stuck on something, I just do a quick search and find the help I need. Sheets is powerful for formulas, filtering, sorting, and tracking edits.
Pros
I like that Google Sheets are accessible online and changes are live, so it's easy to collab with teammates. It's also really easy to comments and tag and assign it to other people to track edits, notes, etc.
Cons
There are a few features which I find easier to use in Microsoft Excel, so there's just a slight learning curve with Google Sheets.
