OpCon Overview

What is OpCon?

OpCon is a workload automation platform designed to help small to large businesses manage and schedule recurring information technology (IT)-related tasks. Key features include role-based permissions, risk identification, resource allocation, audit trails, custom reporting, workflows, and project management.

OpCon lets coordinators streamline work for multiple teams, plan upcoming tasks via a calendar, as well as receive notifications for pending/postponed jobs. The platform's dashboard offers managers a consolidated view of ongoing business processes and allows users to monitor service level agreements. OpCon helps users manage exceptions by sending notifications to supervisors, enabling escalations when the request-response time gets exceeded.

OpCon integrates with multiple third-party platforms such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamix AX, Infor M3, Sage, Cegid, Temenos, Corelation, Symitar, Fiserv, FICS, Oracle, Docker, and more. Administrators can use the platform to monitor CPU usage and disk space, facilitating file transfer between systems and users.

Powerful automation

The software itself is very powerful and allows you to automate a lot of things, that you didn't even think, could be automated. It can even perform jobs based on the emails, received into the monitored inbox. In addition to that, the software support team is very friendly and knowledgable. They helped me a lot with a number of problems / errors via remote sessions.

The software itself is very powerful and allows you to automate a lot of things, that you didn't even think, could be automated. Pros

It seems that this product has no limits. I have only used it for several months, and was able to automate a great number of manual processes. Easy to use, once you get a concept of schedule / job relationship. I am a big fan of automation. OpCon so far has been the best application that I've worked with

Cons

Not for everyone. You have to have scripting knowledge and sometimes get creative, think outside of the box, to get the job done. But if you possess those skills, you'd be amazed what this software can do for you.

We are automating our process for the printing so that we don't have to manually run the process for the output. OpCon did that work on it's own. We only have to setup the automation process as per our requirements.

Pros

With the multiple options available to automate the process and it's capability to connect with the database or the directory to get the files so that to automatically run the process to get the output.

Cons

It's very complicated and only the professionals or the experience user can use it with ease. Only the experienced one can automate the process and can evaluate the .project in a perfect way.
