> **Pros**: LocalMed allows patients to schedule their own appointments so that we don't have to\! We can send patients direct scheduling links in text messages and emails.
> 
> **Cons**: We use two columns per doctor in our office, and unfortunately LocalMed is not intuitive enough yet to recognize appointments across two columns even if they are the same provider. So this makes scheduling with providers other than hygiene (who only have one column) very hard. But we've learned this would be the case with any scheduling platform, not just LocalMed, so can't really fault them for that.

> Overall, we really love having LocalMed to schedule hygiene appointments. The links go out in recall texts and reminders so that patients can schedule themselves at their own convenience, rather than harassing them over the phone only to have them say that they will call you back to schedule. It's truly invaluable.
