### "Business Manager" — 5.0/5

> **Amrinder** | *February 24, 2026* | Legal Services | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: What I appreciate most about LEAP Legal Software is its comprehensive, all-in-one platform that streamlines practice management from start to finish. The integration of matter management, document automation, time recording, billing, and trust accounting within a single system significantly reduces administrative burden and improves overall efficiency.

The document automation and precedent library are particularly valuable, enabling consistent, accurate drafting while saving considerable time. The cloud-based functionality also provides flexibility and secure access across devices, which supports modern, mobile legal practice.

In addition, the onboarding process and ongoing support have been professional and responsive, making implementation smooth for our team. Overall, LEAP has enhanced productivity, improved organization, and allowed us to focus more on delivering quality service to clients.
>
> **Cons**: What I like least about LEAP Legal Software is that it is mainly desktop-based and does not properly save emails from the new web-based Outlook. Since many firms now use Outlook on the web, this creates extra manual work to save important emails into matters.

Because of this limitation, our team sometimes has to manually copy or upload emails, which slows down workflow and adds unnecessary steps. Improved integration with the new Outlook web version would make the system much more efficient and better suited to modern, cloud-based practice.
>
> We have been using LEAP Legal Software since 2017 and currently hold more than 30 licenses across our firm. Overall, our experience has been positive, particularly in terms of matter management, document automation, billing, and trust accounting all being integrated into one system. Having everything in a single platform has helped maintain consistency, improve efficiency, and streamline our daily operations.

The precedent library and document automation tools have been especially valuable, saving significant drafting time and ensuring standardisation across the firm. The reporting features and integrated accounting functions also support better financial oversight.

While there are areas that could be enhanced—particularly around web-based integrations such as email compatibility with the new Outlook—the system remains reliable and well-suited to structured legal practice environments.

After several years of continuous use and scaling to over 30 users, LEAP has proven to be a stable and comprehensive solution that supports both operational growth and day-to-day legal practice needs.

### "The Administrative Point of View" — 4.0/5

> **Samantha** | *March 27, 2026* | Law Practice | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: There is always help when needed and every one is friendly and patient.
Any technical problems or training is easy to access, when ever needed. My recent training being a prime example and led by the most accommodating, friendly, patient and engaging \[sensitive content hidden\].
The system can hold much more information than ever needed, which is always a plus and covers all angles of work in the legal industry.
It is fairly easy to learn and easy on the eye when multitasking with the many clients. Easy to amend, delete or add files or documents and has a good relationship with outlook.
>
> **Cons**: I work on the administration side, so it can be a little more of a runaround when trying to do simple tasks within this area of work. It can be a little tricky doing simple maneuvers, such as merging or maneuvering clients, documents or files. I usually have to work directly through the Client Card on LEAP unlike the Fee Earners working through Matters.
I have found that for storing physical Deeds and Documentation with a LEAP reference, is not so easy to follow and also clear labels are not produced automatically. The LEAP Reference is not as efficient for the many paper documents needed to be stored long and short term.
There could be another way is any other way that I have not yet discovered. I am fully aware that there is so much more to LEAP than I know already or will ever need to use. Every day's a school day, so much more to grasp even after 3 years. I am open to offers/ideas of any other reference storing methods on LEAP.
>
> Good, on the basis that I had been moved from a well functioning old system. I have had plenty of support along the way and am now settled and very happy to come in every day and do the work I am paid to do with LEAP by my side.

### "Powerfull Tools, needs a better user interface." — 3.0/5

> **Verified Reviewer** | *March 20, 2026* | Law Practice | Recommendation rating: 5.0/10
>
> **Pros**: LEAP has a lot of advantages, namely that it combines document and matter management, time keeping, and billing into one tool. There are a lot of really helpful features, particularly the ability to design and personalize templates that function a lot like mail merge in office. I also really enjoy the divorcemate cloud integration.
>
> **Cons**: When we started with LEAP, it often felt like we were beta testing software that was already supposed to be finished. The software is really buggy. It doesn't integrate well with Microsoft Office and the integrations often cause random errors or crashing with microsoft word. I've had to completely uninstall and reinstall the app several times when it seems to get 'stuck' or won't update properly for random reasons - for example, new matters won't show up when I login and only appear when searching archived matters as well. I don't like that I can't open multiple windows in the matter; it makes it cumbersome to move documents between various folders. It also struggles if you have a weaker internet connection. I don't find the software particularly intuitive - many of the tools are not where you would expect them to be.
>
> Overall, I miss the old divorcemate compared to LEAP. While LEAP is very powerful software, it takes a lot of work to be able to use it to its full potential because so many things seem hidden or hard to find, and the tutorials aren't very helpful.

### "Automation and WealthCounsel Included\!? Sign Me Up\!" — 5.0/5

> **Brendan** | *March 20, 2026* | Law Practice | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I signed on with Leap because Wealth Counsel is packaged with Leap for a total price of $200/month per seat.

Leap has some real strengths. Document automation is much easier with Leap than it was with Clio.

For various practice areas Leap has pre-programmed tables to ID and connect everybody associated with the matter. For estate planning, for instance, Leap features prompts for you to fill in all family members, all heirs, all devisees, all assets of various types, all executors, all agents,...

Then you click a button and it imports all that data into wealth counsel, where you complete the interview and create the estate plan as you normally would with wealth counsel.

So far, i have not had to create many custom fields in Leap because the practice areas are pre-loaded with the roles and data I need to track.

In document automation, you can create a replicating table that enables you to program one row in a table and it will automatically create unlimited rows. So if you've got 10 heirs you program the data you need into your Word table using Leap's add-in Tab and Leap will automatically pull data for as many heirs as you've entered into Leap.

I have done 10 or 15 estate plans with Leap + Wealth Counsel and look forward to doing more as i build that practice area.

The integrations that exist are largely built-out by Leap, so they aren’t as buggy as some of the hundreds of apps available for clio.

LEAP released a Zapier integration last year so you can make it play with pretty much any app. This is a work in progress for my firm.

Leap's AI tool, LawY, is stellar. I've used it to tweak my fee agreements and to draft a Demand Letter. It analyzes all of the data saved to the matter, does some legal analysis (which you MUST verify -- it does hallucinate case law), and creates very readable text.
>
> **Cons**: Desktop App is not ADA compliant for the visually impaired.

Desktop App is buggy with Adobe in that I can't save directly from Adobe to Leap. I have to use Leap to import PDFs from File Explorer.

Desktop app's integration with Microsoft Word and Excel is buggy and error messages sometimes get stuck in a loop that requires use of task manager to close Leap and restart it.

There is a steep learning curve to Leap, but once you get the knack for it the software works well.

It took me a while to acclimate to Leap’s treatment of contacts. Now I like the way it handles contact "cards" and "people."
>
> There is a learning curve to Leap, but it strikes me as much more capable than either clio or practice panther. The practice areas are built out with fields for the people and data you want to track, which enables you to automate documents. Document automation itself is much better than with Clio Manage and Practice Panther.

When you figure in the sum you'd pay for all of the apps you'd need to buy to get Clio to do what Leap does, it makes Leap price competive. Biggest cost savings is due to Leap's acquisition of WealthCounsel, which normally costs $450 per month per user.

Leap costs $200 per month per user and it INCLUDES WealthCounsel\!

The desktop app is clunky and it's not ADA-compliant in that you can't zoom in to make the small tables and text legible when looking at a matter. And when you use the main menu for the app using a zoom feature causes components to disappear out of the viewing frame. This is a big deal for visually impaired people and it is common in many apps and Web sites

Leap has been buggy. I can't save PDFs from Adobe directly to Leap even though i have the Leap add-in installed. And with Microsoft products i get recurring error messages and they sometimes get sick in a loop.

But Leap's customer and tech support are very receptive to customer input and responsive to tech issues and problems.

I know that Leap has an online app, but my Leap contact says the desktop version at present is more capable, especially in document automation.

I look forward to using the online product. From the little bit that I've played with it it's well designed visually and logical in its layout. I hope that it is tricked out as far as ADA compliance goes.

### "Billing Simplified" — 5.0/5

> **Leah** | *March 26, 2026* | Law Practice | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Simplified billing process - I can pick and choose what clients to invoice off a list that matches up with reports section in leap - You can easily assign the invoice to a coworker for approval, then finalize. You then can send the invoice directly to the client within leap, providing a payment link that is automatically receipted. It's simple and it's convenient.
>
> **Cons**: The notification page doesn't have an ongoing "audit log." Would like this feature to be added along with a few other features my coworkers and I would find useful.
>
> I like the integration with quickbooks, I like the billing process, I appreciate the commitment to tracking accurate data (reversals remain in the account, no question on what has happened in a specific file)
