If I communicate with a client from home, I can log it in the patient's record right then and there. The software is quite intuitive to use. I LOVE that we have billing triggers linked to Therapeutics/Procedures so that, as we enter a patient's medical record, we are automatically adding charges to the bill to correspond with what we've done. It has been very easy to adapt our record keeping. The templates and shorthand have saved me a ton of time. I like the ability to customize the medical record format a bit; i.e., we have our "Patient History labeled as "Subjective" and "Physical Examination" labeled as "Objective" to maintain consistency with traditional SOAP formatting. I like being able to easily create customized forms. All of my patient data and medical records were imported from our previous software, so no information was lost. > > **Cons**: It's expensive (but worth it). It would be great if the time clock feature could highlight days when an employee worked \>8 hours (or \>10 hours for alternative work week practices). I'd like if a linked communication could be moved from one visit to another. I'd also like to see consistent formatting for phone numbers so no matter how they are entered they look the same in the software. There are almost too many reporting features; I haven't learned the nuances of the differences between financial reports (Payment Revenue vs. Invoice Revenue for example). > > EzyVet has enabled our practice to run much more efficiently. There are never lost charts. It is easy to fix mistakes like duplicate client records. Having specific therapeutics set up with billing triggers means fewer missed charges. I get lost between the various tabs. It is hard to scroll through a patient's record if you are not on the right tabs.This creates a distraction that interferes with client interaction. > > Frustrating. There is seemingly no way to create estimates for clients that can then be digitally transferred into a later invoice. Once estimates are created, we have to manually recreate them on the invoice which creates more work and opportunity for error. My hospital also has an excessive list of bloodwork options, most of which are rarely used, making it EXTREMELY cumbersome to find the right labwork for a patient at a reasonable price. There are also way too many steps to get something done. There are many different ways to do the same thing, so each staff member can do what is comfortable for them. The integrations are fantastic too\! Closing at the end of the night is a breeze. > > **Cons**: The reporting. Some reports need to be able to be run for more than one item at a time. Also, the blue fill on the total lines of reports is ridiculous. You can't read it on the screen and if it is printed, it is completely illegible. Also, the header for reporting needs to be able to be adjusted so a full email address can be be included without wrapping to a second line. > > The initial phone calls and set up is cumbersome. We were unaware of the amount of time that we would need to put in. We were led to believe that "ezyVet sets you up." It was frustrating to say the least. Not paying to have an implementor come on site should not be an option. We, thankfully, paid for an implementor and she was great.
