I have been a customer for seven years, deploying multiple systems with coaching engagements throughout that period. The experiences have always been positive and the investments have had valuable returns. The part of Redzone I enjoy the most is that they partner with you to ensure you have success. Being a customer is having a lean partner that continually improves their services. We get better as Redzone learns and gets better. It would be difficult for any organization to create an internal lean department that compares to the quality of services that Redzone offers. Being a customer you get to be a part of an organization who's entire goal is to learn and provide better manufacturing excellence services.
Pros
Redzone is not a traditional MES software. I can be difficult to define exactly. Along with the visual workplace software Redzone will coach you in to how to use the system most effectively. It is part software, part standardized lean approach, and part custom lean consulting. It provides a visual workplace along with a program to manage a highly productive and collaborative work environment.
Cons
Some of the features can be cumbersome to manage through the iOS interface. Good customer service is provided to help make the management easier.

We use the software for action tracking, digitising our GMP process and cloud data reporting. Our organisation's communication level has improved, and we save time when looking through reports and past data when we use Redzone.
Pros
Redzone has helped us transform our GMP practice and digitalise the whole process. We love how we can use Redzone to track any actions we find during the audit process and assign them to the correct users. We can easily find and filter by dates, problems and solution within the app as well as Power BI
Cons
The compliance module takes some time to get used to, and setting up data sheets for the first time can be lengthy. Thanks to the Redzone coach, we can automate some of the processes.

Pros
Redzone helps a lot in terms of decreasing time-consuming, previously the operators needed to write down everything in the paper which took so much time on that. It also helps to build great communication between all levels with all relevant departments, so it can help the action to be done faster. The barcode reading feature is a great one as well, it can help to confirm that each barcode can read correctly and complete. What I like the most would be that we can see the real-time data which is important in compliance.
Cons
Sometimes, the datasheet just popped up a little delay (I'm not sure it's the problem neither from Redzone nor internet connection). Moreover, it also cannot deselect some data items which are not mandatory as well, so we can only solve this problem by just only add on the N/A option.

Redzone gave us easy review of the factory, we can see the dontime of each lines easily and it also provides summed up reports. so i can see the total downtimne of my lines. it helped with my shift report, daily reports and weekly reports.
Pros
i like we can see huddle line performance, we can speak to each line leader during huddle, they can tell me the problems of the lines and i can give support the the right person. by doing these minor changes at each review, we are moving to the right direction.
Cons
the huddle is very good, however when the line is very busy it creates extra pressure for everyone. Our number one priority is to get the order complete first. i would like to see it on my phone but it's not available for Android.

Redzone is easy to use and when i am not on the shopfloor i can still monitor the performance of my line via the apple TV in the office. i am happy to see my performance everyday and i am happy to stay in Green! i find it very easy to enter downtime reasons and its easy to make changes if i made a mistake.
Cons
The only thing i dont like is that it's limited to apple device and i only have an android phone so i can't access to Redzone on my phone. the sensor can sometimes give bad readings and we need to ask an engineer to resolve this issue.

before having redzone, i had to run between lines and speak to the team leaders about their line performance and often the information is delayed. after Redzone installed, i can now have one simple screen and i can see the progress of all my lines and i will speak to the line leader where the line isn't performing well.
Pros
i enjoy the huddles, it give me the opportunity to speak to my team leaders, i can view the data and understand where the problems is on the line and understand from my team members how i can help them run the line better.
Cons
it doesn't allow us to set product T-max when we start the product runs. this function is locked to the admin users and it take sometimes to get used to the system.

Becfore Redzone, we had to do all downtime tracking manually and on paper, we were reporting issues verbally and Redzone gives us chance to report issues electronically and gives us ability to create actions and highlight issues on food and health and safety.
Pros
It lets you know the detail of the reasons behind each machine downtime, it also encourages the team leader to enter downtime reason quickly and the inform flows much better between departments.
Cons
Because the position of the sensors, can it can be misleading, such as when it's not as the sensors not detecting the product and it takes some time to get the sensors set up correctly,.The sensitivity of sensor also need tweaking.

the system gives us live data and it's very easy to understand and all departments are now in sync and everyone is talking the same language which is OEE! everyone is happy to see their live performance and we even have a little internal competition

i wish the system can refresh a little faster, at the moment there is about 30 seconds time delay between product going pass sensors and what we see on the tv displays, i wish we had this system sooner.

For our shift, we have completed removed paper from the shopfloor, we are only using redzone to record downtime and it's been very easy to use. The system gives us total transparency and makes very easy to find the root cause of our problems.
Pros
Redzone give me an overview of the whole shopfloor, sometimes i needed to go away from the warehouse i can still oversee the area and give support where i needed.
Cons
i am very happy with the overall system but once 90 day package is completed, it's down to our internal engineers to help upkeep the sensors. these sensors are the key to our success, if they are giving the wrong information we will be back in the dark.

Pros
It's been very useful for the shop floor and it provides vital information on how to improve work place. Such as real time data. We can act quickly when we see a downtime from the tv display.
Cons
The kaizen function it's a little difficult to understand and it takes more training and practices. The fish bone, once it's been created it cannot be deleted or edited.

Redzone has helped our manufacturing facilities identified main losses in their production systems and areas of focus for Kaizen events and improvement projects, which has resulted in OEE uplift. It has improved the communication between operations, quality and maintenance teams.
Pros
Redzone is not only an OEE tracking system, but also a great communication tool that gives a voice to our team members on the production floor. The user interface is very intuitive and it's designed with the key foundational elements of continuous improvement. The system has great features including messaging, "high 5", etc., which help us with employee engagement, recognition and communication.
Cons
We still have some work to integrate Redzone with our SAP system, but we are getting full support from the Redzone technical team.

We are ultimately trying to improve both our communication on the shop floor in order to solve problems more effectively, as well as improve the OEE of our operation. Redzone has definitely helped us to do that. We still have areas to improve, but we have realized a 10-15% throughout the process of re-engaging Redzone. Our QA records are more thoroughly documented and our staff has taken more ownership. We have had a great experience with Redzone and I would recommend them to help other operations.
Pros
Our company had implemented Redzone about 5 years ago. Through a series of personnel changes, and company acquisitions, we used it, but not to the full potential. As we were acquired in 2020, our parent company was in the process of a Redzone roll-out to their facilities. We implemented a re-launch of the product starting in September 2020. We had a great coach [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] who helped train some of our staff in both Redzone and Lean Mfg. methods. While we did not see as much of an increase in OEE as we had hoped through the re-launch, it provided us a good base. In 2021 - Q1, we launched the Compliance module to track our Quality. After the completion, we have seen a nice boost in OEE, as well as a reduction in some of our quality holds. The Compliance module ensures that our staff are keeping up with the required checks, and we have them take pictures of various items so that we have documentation. When we have had customer audits, it is very easy to pull up the data and many of our auditors have been impressed with the system. We have also branched out into safety audits using Redzone, and have the ability to take pictures, documents, etc. and broadcast them to TV’s that are spread out across the factory and use the system as a great communication tool.
Cons
Redzone is only available through iPads. There are times where it would be nice to have it more of a PC based software, but it isn’t the end of the world. We have our manager, supervisors, QA, and maintenance techs equipped with iPads so that they can always monitor. You can also get a license for Tableau in order to slice and dice the data into further detail. It is nice to setup reports and have dashboards. It does take some practice to learn the software, but the support group is very helpful.

Redzone Compliance provides for more dynamic product safety. Automatically it triggers a control point check. If checks fail or are overlooked, a notification is sent as an alert. Our team is now notified of potential issues as they happen. This has resulted in increased product quality with zero product recalls.
Likewise, Redzone software has improved communication and visibility with non-production departments. Our team's communication skills have improved, and we are now able to collaborate on projects. Also, our team's focus can be placed on other areas in production, knowing that Redzone is automatically monitoring and sharing critical data.
The kaizen approach used by Redzone has encouraged us to break down silos, improve problem-solving techniques, and reduced labor costs by reducing overtime.
Redzone software enabled our company to increase productivity across the board. Everything from improved efficiency to increased uptime. We have seen a boost in all areas of production. With Redzone, our team is more productive, and our output is higher. We have the tools we need to continue producing high-quality products efficiently.
We are extremely happy with the results that Redzone has delivered. We would recommend Redzone software to any company looking for an improvement in their production environment.

What I like most is the ease of use. It's both intuitive and innovative. There is a shallow learning curve, and most users are up and running in no time at all.
Cons
Redzone provides plenty of support when generating reports using the Tableau software. However, I prefer self-reliance over a Redzone coach creating or altering our reports. I found a steep learning curve when learning on my own. There are classes available, but that is an additional cost.

Pros
We have implemented both an OEE and compliance module. This has allowed us to utilise the generated data to form improvement plans and improve productivity, reducing downtime and increasing efficiency. The compliance side has allowed us to create a paperless production record system and automation of check generation. Making the completion of quality/production checks easier. The ability to add verification, images, and automated data reduces the workload and increases the value of the records. Overall the process of setup and implementation has been a positive experience with great support from the RedZone coaches and the wider support team. RedZone also facilitates communication between all levels within the business and tracking actions, which can be seen from operators to management. Definitely would recommend the system to any company wishing to drive OEE and Compliance to the next level.
Cons
Nothing specifically to dislike about the software system, it is a fantastic tool. Improvement suggestions are relayed and appreciated; however, it does rely on other sites identifying the same in some cases to be implemented. The workload of setting up the system is labourious (but very well supported) but worth it when you get to the end result.

Not only is Redzone a great communication platform and a voice for everyone, it really allows leadership to see what is happening on the floor and react to problems and issues faster. Redzone is a tremendous tool to allows people to perform their jobs at the high level they need to. Redzone makes life on the production floor much easier and less frustrating.
Pros
It is a platform everyone can use and get information. It is up to the individual how much information they want. Anyone who logs in can review and see multiple levels of detail, or they can simply use it as a communication tool. How deep the user gets into the software is up to the individual. Everyone can see this information. It is an open platform and extremely transparent.
Also the ability to create and customize checks is very beneficial and a game changer.
Cons
The maintenance package is very exciting but not having the ability to track inventory parts and order makes the leadership reluctant to make a decision. We want our maintenance group to have to stay in one system if possible

We have had an exceptional experience with Redzone. Redzone did much more than sell us a software solution, they acted as a partner from initiation to completion. The Redzone coaching was key to getting the program operational in such a short timeframe.
Pros
Redzone has given us the insight and understanding about our processes that we were missing. The best part about Redzone is that this visibility is accessible to the entire organization. Operators, managers, quality control, maintenance, and company executives can see what is going on in real-time. The option of bringing Google Translate into the program has increased communication among our employees, especially between departments. With Redzone, we are able to get a clear understanding of the performance of our production lines and also get a better understanding of the issues on the lines leading to downtime. Ultimately Redzone has allowed us to quickly identify quality or process efficiency issues, then create and test solutions.
Cons
Redzone has exceeded our expectations. The ability to access and interact with the program with an iPad or iPhone is a key benefit, though it would be nice to have the ability to access the program through a computer as well.

Pros
Forums, chats and groups make it very easy to collaborate cross-functionally across all shifts. Very easy to use and understand Redzone with tons of features within the Productivity and Compliance Module. Real-time data helps front line leaders understand what support is needed so that actions can be created (within the app) to eliminate root cause. Data checks are beneficial for historical records and analytics.
Cons
The ability for Redzone to have more ways to visualize the data without having to rely on a third party integration (Tableau). Also the ability to add external attachments like Word or PowerPoint to data sheets.

we have been using the system for more than 1 year now so far the comment from the front line team has been nothing but great feedback. We no longer required to manually create downtime logs, worker have more time to get on with actual value added work and the level of communication within our enterprise has improved.

we like the real time data so we can act quickly to resolve any issues. we also like the fact that it has Chinese language support as well as a dedicated Chinese speaking coach. He is very professional with great level of industry knowledge and highly supportive throughout the whole journey .
Cons
As of any new technology, it would take some time for our front line team to get used to and it take strong leadership from our team to enforce and make sure they are accountable for their data integrity. Once they got used to it and it works like clockwork.

its certainly made our teams jobs a lot easier as we can now track the live performance of each plant and act if the OEE has dropped. its helped us track our kaizens easier too, and supports with actions created throughout this process.

I like that most things are at the touch of my fingertips. I like that I can see what's going on from anywhere
in the world. I can fix certain codes from the Ipad. I like that there is a detailed history in the ipad. It holds people accountable the quality of our products. This program makes it neater for everyone involved. It saves time, and money. Redzone is what you make of it. You can build it to best meet the needs of your company.
Cons
I don't like that once a run is closed, the Run ID cannot be changed. Often times, The operator will select the wrong run ID, but they produced what they were supposed to produce correctly. If the run is closed i cannot edit the Run ID. While the run is active, I can change it. I don't want to be able to change the data, just change the Run ID.

Sometimes the RZ updates come out with bugs and make it difficult until they roll out the fixes.

I have been in manufacturing for more than 35 years and the cultural transformation we experienced was amazing. The combination of hands on coaching and real time data has helped to drive improvement in every area of our operation. Hats off to Redzone!!!
Pros
Redzone was very easy to deploy throughout the factory. Users learned the software very quickly which along with the hands on coaching allowed for a seamless implementation. More importantly, the true value of the software is that helps to transform cultures. It has certainly helped to improve manufacturing performance and increase employee morale and engagement. The amount of paperwork the operators once had to complete was mind boggling. Redzone has fixed all that!!!
Cons
There isn't anything specifically wrong with this software. Very user friendly and well supported.

The amount of paperwork has gone down and it has not affected the ability to produce information...
The amount of paperwork has gone down and it has not affected the ability to produce information when it is required. The customer support was fantastic. Between having calls, emails, and onsite in-person help, the implementation and all of the pending questions about the software were answered and the problems resolved.
Pros
-The ability to painlessly transition to being paperless and the help on being audit ready is great.
-The software's ability to be custom tailored to fit an existing procedure is great and very simple to do.
-The app is very user friendly and easy to teach.
Cons
-Although the app is very easy to customize, it does have its limitations.
