It’s a red flag for any business relationship. Save yourself the time, effort, and frustration, and look for more trustworthy platforms that actually deliver what they promise. > > I recently came across PitchBook after seeing they offered a “Free Trial Before You Buy.” My initial excitement quickly turned into disappointment and frustration. From the moment I showed interest, I was bombarded by sales representatives who flat-out told me that they do not actually offer a free trial. Their justification? They claim that their platform contains “confidential information” and therefore cannot be risked in a free trial environment. This contradictory stance—advertising a free trial and then insisting they don’t provide one—seems completely unethical. If a company truly values transparency and credibility, why mislead potential customers with a promotion that doesn’t exist? It makes one seriously question the authenticity of the data they claim to have and whether it’s really “confidential” at all.
