My overall experience working with MS Access has been rather pleasant. We mostly use it to have ease of use of reports with regards to our assets and equipment
Pros
As a user in my opinion and commonly cited by alot of users , I like Microsoft Access for its user-friendly interface, ease of creating databases, and its ability to manage and analyze data without requiring advanced programming skills. The integration with other Microsoft Office applications and the flexibility it provides in creating forms, reports, and queries are commonly cited as positive aspects by users.
Cons
While Microsoft Access has its strengths, there are some limitations and drawbacks to consider:

For personal use it is effective but trying to use it by sharing access to network resources presents a lot of problems (from security to performance, to the number of simultaneous accesses etc. etc.)
Pros
It is easy to have the program installed on your PC and create tables in which to insert data and forms with which to populate them
Cons
It's not ideal for a centralized solution to share tables for colleagues. It was born as a single-user application to be installed on your PC and any workaround to transform it into a centralized database is a forcing that inevitably leads to problems or compromises, especially in terms of security

Since 2001. I studied it in detail. I earned a living for more than 10 years programming databases for small businesses. I think it is still good if used as a personal database only.
Pros
Very cheap to procure, program and deploy. Very good if used by a team of less than 4 people.
Cons
Not suitable to be deployed on the internet. All 3 of us use the Microsoft Access database from the same computer.

the software has been better for me especially when I can use it in building data analysis features and the security in the software is great.
also, the great thing I love is the fact that there is automation and macros in the system which makes work much easier.
Cons
The thing I do not like is the limited web application development where I can not be able to build or develop apps. also the file size limitation of 2 GB

I've been a professional Access developer since 1993 and have built a career from creating and maintaining applications built with it. Once you understand its gotchas and limitations, I think it offers one of the best ROIs for custom software development.
Pros
RAD tools for building forms and reports in a fraction of the time of other systems. Many options for migrating back-end database to other databases.
Cons
I wish there were better tools for version control, query optimization, tuning, and integration with web APIs and JSON.

Pros
I find it really useful as a database to link lots of spreadsheets when there is a lot of data. With Microsoft being a popular software of various applications having a familiar layout and to link to Excel spreadsheets is good. The queries that can be made is very useful to make things quicker
Cons
Those that need huge amounts of storage may find this gets a bit slow. But still holds a lot!

My overall experience with Microsoft Access was positive. I found the app to be an essential tool for my company. I appreciated its ability to handle large amounts of data and create custom databases, as well as its powerful querying and reporting tools.
Pros
What I liked most about Microsoft Access was its ability to handle large amounts of data and create custom databases. The app's intuitive interface and range of templates made it easy to create and manage data, while its powerful querying and reporting tools allowed for in-depth analysis. Additionally, I appreciated the app's integration with other Microsoft Office products, such as Excel and PowerPoint.
Cons
One thing that I liked least about Microsoft Access was its limited compatibility with non-Windows platforms. While the app was widely used on Windows machines, it could be challenging to access and edit databases on other operating systems. Additionally, the app's steep learning curve and complexity could be overwhelming for users with limited experience in database management.

I realized Microsoft access needs a more robust solution in data storage areas where its parameters are exceeded especially with large data sets. I have been using it for SMB databases and can say it has been a worthy experience. SMBs upscale their businesses evertime and their data becomes larger this is where I take caution because the loading time of MS Access also increases. Which makes me uncomfortable in times of impatience.
The performance is affected over time as the data get bigger even when stored in the cloud. I would love an improvement with loading time against larger data set.
Also integration of MS access into new technologies like blockchain is necessary. I am engineering my way around using MS Access with blockchain activities and the progress has been encouraging.
Pros
Data teams can collaborate on a database and tables in real-time on the web application. This web Colloborationn makes remote data teams highly productive without needing to move out of the web browser.
Cons
Data teams cannot collaborate through the desktop application. Collaborative suers are subjected to the capacity of their web browsers.
The User experience of the web interface is not as smooth and enjoyable as the desktop app which make data management, repositories and queries a little unfriendly with large data set.

Overall experience is great, I can still do most of my tasks in terms of running report and data analysis.
Pros
I used it frequently at work, the most I like about this software is relatively easy to use especially for beginners who wish to start learning how to run report for data management. Fairly speaking, users are required some understandings on table structure and database connections before start using this product. I found it interesting though as I have been using MS Access past 15 years with my current job, and I still find that there are many more to learn of this software.
Cons
One thing I came across the compatibility issue with MS Access, e.g. when IT created a brand new table with SQL, and I am using Oracle to connect the newly created table, and for some reason MS Access unable to open up the table although I can connect the new table without issue.
In short, I can use MS Access to connect the table, but can not open the table in MS Access. Our IT support team can open the same table with SQL though.
I have a feeling this may have something to do with Windows 10 settings, but I am not that technically enough to troubleshoot, unfortunately our IT support group couldn't figure out my problem even now.
The reason why I said I have feeling to do with Windows 10, it is because prior my company upgrade our OS to Windows 10, I am able to connect tables without any issues, and after OS upgraded and then IT created some new tables during new projects deployment, then I stared having issue with those newly created table.

You can keep away from this issue by utilizing Access toward the front of a SQL server, however few out of every odd business needs that degree of framework regardless makes delicate information to be secured.
Pros
It just requires minutes to introduce this Microsoft Access. Consequently, clients get a data set that is completely useful. It requires no convoluted programming to utilize either, so the normal PC client can exploit the data that can be assembled by this framework.

You can keep away from this issue by utilizing Access toward the front of a SQL server, however few out of every odd business needs that degree of framework regardless makes delicate information to be secured.
Cons
There is a wall that can ultimately be reached with regards to contributing data into this data set. For bigger information clients, Microsoft Access might cause constraints that other data set projects might not have just on the grounds that there is a document size limit.

I use Access and Excel daily to keep 20,000+ inventory items up to date for my e-commerce site. I cannot imagine working without Access.
Pros
My favorite thing about Access is that it works well with Excel, and I like to transfer my tables from Access to Excel so I can do data manipulation on them and then return them to Access. Of course there's more risk in operating in this manner but it also enables me to do things that would be difficult or impossible with Access alone.
Cons
There's limits on field sizes when moving back and forth between Excel and Access that are frustrating and seem to me to be unnecessary with our modern, higher powered computers.

Pros
I am able to take a month's activity, in our case the placement and use of containers, and provide a nice tidy report to my management team. They love it and think I slave hours
Cons
It tend to slow down exponentially with the amount of data you input. Since this is daily for us it can be pretty slow and the end users in some departments have to do entries after hours.
