Easy navigation, I can explain how to use the app in less than five minutes to new employees.

Pros

Overall my experience with busybusy have been successful. I personally have had zero issues when it comes to the navigation and reporting while using the application. My experience with their customer service is outstanding and they will do whatever it takes to resolve the issue immediately. The overall navigation is simple and easy to use. My eleven year old knows how to use it. The cost is low comparable to other timekeeping applications.

Cons

As of today the only cons that I personally have is that it currently does not integrate with our bidding software. If this could integrate it would be the perfect software for our company.

I researched dozens of options for time tracking and busy busy was the clear winner

Pros

Easy to use and excellent customer service. The chat feature works great and if an answer is not immediately available I'm kept up to date with the progress and have never had to go longer then 24 hours before an issue was resolved.

Cons

The photo download is basically useless. But rumor says there's a fix in the works. You can only download one picture at a time and the resolution is not great.

Pros
-Could build labor budgets.

-GPS locations.

-App reminds you to clock in when you get to the job site.

Cons

-Time consuming to edit each employees hours each week. Our typical work week is 7am-3:30pm. If a guy clocks in at 6:45 we have to manually change it at the end of the week to 7am. Also their break time is 30 mins each day. Your default is 15 mins so we have to manually edit each week.

-Can't build a labor budget based off the cost code rather you need to create a sub-projects.

-Would be nice if it could sync with Procore so we don't have to manually enter labor each week.

-Glitches ever so often.

Great time keeping. Keeps employees honest. Helps to track jobs from the time they start to the time they end. Love it!

Pros

Allows you to track jobs and see how they are going in the middle of the job. Tracks our people so you can tell where they are. Allows for break time. Automatically does over time and sets up paychecks!

Cons

Not comparable with the new software. IOS does not have recently used jobs. Wish you could access information from other apps like Google drive.

Excellent. The entire app delivers exactly as promised. I never have had to utilize customer service, so I can't speak for that aspect if the program, but as for the administrative options it is far more efficient than traditional time cards or other online methods of time and travel logging. It reports the employees real time locations, eliminating costly wasted labor hours. Since switching to busybusy my job completion rate has almost doubled for the same time allotted. Outstanding!

Pros

What makes this program stand out from the rest is it's functionality and efficiency. It's very simple to use making it ideal for the end user who may not be well versed in app technology.

Cons

Too be honest I couldn't find a flaw worthy of reporting.

Pros

Looking up work performed and hours spent on each job. Easy to find history and job time per person.

Cons

Can't-do everything on my iPhone that I can on a laptop with Chrome browser. I have to go to Apple laptop to make changes at the start or end times weren't properly entered.

BusyBusy is self-explanatory and easy to learn. Our employees, who are not exactly computer savvy, were able to pick up how to use the app very quickly.

Cons

I don't like that you can't just add a piece of equipment without having to wait for it to be approved.

Pros

I like how this software gives you multiple options on where to clock in from, since this will effect your pay. I also like being able to see how many hours I have either for the day, the week, or the pay period.

Cons

The thing I like the most least about this software is that I feel like it is so touchy. When I open the app sometimes to go on break I have accidently pressed clock out. I wish it had a verification button for you to say yes or no before doing so.

Pros

Allows for real time labor accounting on a per job basis. Helps us see time related to breaks, travel time and shop time. Gives us data to analyze specific work types, track related profitability and focus landing more of the work that's most financially productive for our business. We could expand on what we're doing to gain more info.

Cons

Sometimes the app doesn't update so employees can't select newly entered jobs. We believe there's a way for the time card info to be imported to QuickBooks but we don't know how to do it. The address (map) function doesn't seem to work.

Pros

Customer service is timely and helpful. The developers listen and work hard to implement desired changes. I like the ability to use on desktop or mobile. Setting up new projects and archiving old projects is easy. Being able to see where everyone is and what project they are working on is great.

Cons

Works best with Chrome but the other company programs I am required to use work best in Internet Explorer, I don't like having to jump back and forth.

There's really nothing negative in my mind. It's just a good, user friendly app for timekeeping and I don't think anyone could go wrong in adopting this program for their employees time keeping.

I have not really learned any more about busybusy since we first started using it almost 2 years ago. I am not very tech savy, and so I have not done any self learning. I have reached out to my rep to go over new and interesting things but we just have not been able to connect. To be fair to busybusy, every day I log in, there is self learning updates right there at the top; I just have never looked at any of them because I don't know if it will apply to us or if it will even make sense to me.

Our experience has been positive. The reports that are used weekly are easy to generate and clear and simple to read. The busybusy program has cut down on the amount of time that management uses to verify hours, especially compared to a manual punch timeclock

Pros

BusyBusy has been an instrumental way that we track the time students spend with their projects. BusyBusy has detailed reports that allow us to see quickly and easily the amount of time spent on a project and that they were at the correct location. Allowing us to set up a geolocation circle has helped us ensure that the time spent was spent where it was supposed to be.

Cons

I'd love it if there were a way for the version we use to send push notifications to users to remind them to clock in when they arrive at the geolocation we've set up and to clock out when they leave it. Other than that, we have had no issues with busybusy.

We were able to track our jobs and the hours our employees worked per job more accurately. It's also helped our employees be a little more responsible for their own time cards.

Pros

It was very easy for our employees to learn how to use the app on their phones. When they forget to clock in or out, it is possible for me to go in and edit their hours. I also like the reports that are available. It makes it easy when it comes to payday to see a report of each employee and double-check the hours they worked.

Cons

Some of the tasks take a few too many clicks to get through or are a little confusing. For example, finding an employees time card from a previous day takes 4 or 5 different menus. I've gotten used to it after using it for so long, but I remember it was confusing at first.

I also struggle with the little clock that pops up to choose an employees clock-in or clock-out time. I'd rather just type in the time than move the hour/minute hands on a clock.

I also wish there was a way to get notified when an employees scheduled time off is coming up. We let our employees schedule time off as far out as possible, but when the time comes, we've forgotten about it. We actually don't use this feature of the Busybusy software, but would if it was more helpful to us.

Pros

The ability to enable and disable almost every basic feature makes building out the system easy and quick. Allowing you to make it the exact way you would want it. With the room for growth into the application from a basic time and project tracking to full blown project management and profit tracking, the opportunity for you and this company are endless.

Cons

While there are a few niche things we were looking for, but couldn't get to work, Busy busy makes up for in their customer service and willingness to receive customer feedback for improvements.

Pros

Easy to clock in and out. I like that you can create reports and upload photos directly to the reports. I like the ability of supervisors to assist the workers in clocking in/out and switching between jobs throughout the day just in case they forget. I like that the mobile progress reporting platform allows you to make line breaks without making entirely new notes.

Cons

It can sometimes take a long time to load notes and daily progress reports on the mobile platform resulting in wasted time, and sometimes my phone will even time out and lock itself while waiting for the reports to load. I'd like to see faster load times, but perhaps if you could add an option to keep the phone awake like some other apps do I could at least stop having to tap the screen every 15 seconds or so to keep it from locking.

BusyBusy has streamlined our payroll, by integrating with our accounting software we are now able to directly import our employee's time rather than manually entering in the data from paper time cards. Another major plus is the scheduling feature, our Project Managers are now able to update our crew on the fly and direct them to their next worksites.

Pros

The software is very easy to use and the mobile app makes it simple for our employees to keep track of their time. The Scheduling feature has also become a integral part of our daily/weekly planning for our project managers

Cons

Right now the only thing we would like to see would be a feature that tracks small equipment, something like the Milwaukee Tag system that uses Bluetooth and QR codes to map where small equipment is being used.

When the wonderful DIR decided that we needed to do weekly payroll on certified jobs, that increased my payroll from 2x per month to 6x per month!

Busy Busy has cut the time it takes to complete payroll significantly.

It is a great to be able to remotely review timecards and employees.

Cons

We are having issues with time zones. We work all over the globe and when there is an issue with an employees time, I have problems adjusting it when I'm in a different timezone

Exactly what we needed!

Pros

Busybusy has saved me minimally an hour a day on filling out time sheets. Love that the app calculates how long someone spent at each job site within their 8 hour day especially when they work at more than one location in any given day. I also like that we can customize and require cost codes. Busybusy also makes it difficult for the crew members to be dishonest on their time sheet. This app has been far more reliable with its GPS feature than the last app we used.

Cons

I ran into a few glitches during the initial set u,p but customer service was very responsive and helpful. When importing our list of employees I used a short 4 character password and their last name for their user name. Had I known the password required 8 characters it would have saved a lot of frustration. Also in hindsight, because the user name has to be unique, I would recommend using their email address. Without the forewarning several of our employees couldn't log in. It was resolved quickly with the help of customer service. I would like to see the employees have the option to request their own time off. I as an admin am able to do that for them.

Pros

I like the easy user interface of platform as it is simple to use on both computers and mobile phone. As an admin it gives me access to edit employees time cards if they made an mistake. The GPS feature is really great to find out where employees actually are when they log into busy busy. This way owner can check if employees are really onsite or not.

Cons

Only thing that bothers me is that software do not have 15 minutes time rounding feature. Everytime I got the timecards like 8:04 min and then have to adjust to 8 hours.

From your computer, go to Company Settings>>Time Keeping>>Change next to Rounding Time. You will need access to Company Settings to be able to turn on this feature.

So easy to use , everything is titled with what you need to know and self explanatory to clock in and out easy to make adjustments when you forget to clock in and out or if you didn't take your brake

The bad things about the busy busy app were to start it's a great app I have nothing bad to say other then getting kicked off or out of the app but that may be the cell phone provider I use if I had to say one bad thing it would be to maybe make it were it's a little more user friendly to make adjustments to your time in the app other then the you could say you have A very happy user

Cons

Since I prefer to do my work from a desktop computer, I have to move it to my laptop when traveling. That involves a call to customer service (which is fabulous), but it is time consuming and if I forget it work sync with QuickBooks. Also, if I don't sync busybusy with QuickBooks at least every 2 weeks I will loose information.

Pros

I like that I can go on at any time and check a variety of things such as times, location, etc. The software make it easy to make changes quickly when needed. I also love the report features- such as looking at a specific project and a detailed description of the hours worked at that location.

Cons

Ive talked to support staff, and there doesn't seem to be a fix. The locations are accurate, however it doesn't show all their locations. It may show a clock in location but not a clock out, or not all breaks. It is rare for me to be able to see all locations for a person in a single day, making it difficult at times to fully track them and their time keeping accuracy.

I can clock in early in the am before my formen gets to the job site. I can analise my hours from my home without having to log onto a separate website. The app allows me to change jobs while on my way to the next job. The app also slows me to keeps track of hours for individual types of work on each job site.

Pros

I can clock in and out from my phone. Going on lunch break is when I can just click a button on my phone. I can clock in before my formen shows up. I can analise my time from my home.

Cons

It doesn't load sometimes. Occasionally when I clock out the app says I'm clocked out but doesn't register and keeps the time rolling making more work for my formens.

Thank you for your review. We are happy you are able to analyze your time from home and how easiy it is for you to manage your time on busybusy. Do you hard close the app when you are done using it? The app runs in the background for a few minutes processing new information. If you hard close the app too soon, you can stop it in its tracks and wont complete the task. We recommend waiting a few minutes to hardclose the app.
