I have nothing but positive experiences with Growthzone from my interaction with sales, to onboarding and then continued support with the support team. They are very responsive and keep an open mind to user recommendations.
Pros
The program is very appealing to the eye. Its user interface is very user friendly. The modules available provide tools to make our association run efficient and effectively.
Cons
Nothing! I love it all. I can't think of any part of the software that I dislike.

I went from using a very complex system that required a lot of customization on my part to GrowthZone that had everything built in. So complicated in fact that no other staff members knew how to do anything on the admin side. With GrowthZone, everyone on staff can be comfortable working in the program. Things are more seamless - easily seeing your members and their activities, groups, billings and registrations. Everything is all "under one roof" - membership, meeting registration, committees, document storage, forms and surveys, marketing automation plus other available modules that I am not using like certifications, fundraising and more.
Switching to GrowthZone saved an incredible amount of time for my team and is super easy to learn - it's very intuitive. However, if you can't figure it out, the documentation and available training videos are abundant! Which was also completely lacking from my old system. I have recommended it to several association leaders.
Pros
There is so much functionality I didn't even realize I needed and now couldn't live without. It has quite truly saved my staff and me a lot of time.
Cons
There are still some glitches here and there, and some other features that I would like to see added since they seem (to me at least) to be basic and logical additions.

We chose GZ because it offered us the ability to use the same company for website development and hosting and AMS system ensuring compatibility. We are very happy with the look and feel of our website and the CMS used to manage it. Our migration to GZ for the AMS side was rocky at best. Our project manager had never gone through a detailed conversion before. While she was very service oriented and nice to work with, her inexperience caused many issues. We like GZ's ability to give a good view of member activity. I like that when I am on the phone with a member, I can see their engagement, make notes, and create follow up task items. G
Pros
The user interface, look, and feel of the back end. Also like the ability to integrate with the company website to create a good member only user experience. It also has a pretty good project management system, though it desperately needs push notifications via email. The only notification it provides is a badge count on the top menu of the software. So if you are disciplined to check there, the PM works well. GZ also has a certification/continuing education component which we find valuable.
Cons
Customer support needs work. GZ is very slow to respond to issues. Many times entered tickets are not responded to (first response) for 3 or more days (I am not counting the automated message generated that the ticket was received and someone would review). And, when the "front line" or 1st level support team reaches out, frequently they aren't completely familiar with the ins and outs of the software, so the first 3 emails or 15 minutes of the call are spent teaching them how the system works. The communications functionality has a great vision, but is inconsistent and extremely buggy. It is difficult and many times impossible to send a merged email to multiple members. Members get emails or newsletters with the fields not merged properly. It feels like the database was not developed with a vision and as the software was enhanced and features added, bandaids were placed on the tables to make them work together. Field naming is inconsistent and many times not working as a true relational database. Feels like a consequence of growing quickly and not having one responsible group overseeing the programming growth. Different naming philosophy throughout different modules.

Pros
Very user friendly, and has all the features we need to manage and interact with our members. We have even seen an increase in event revenue since making the switch!
Cons
While the training process was awesome, we seem to have a delay in getting support in a timely manner with questions.

Overall, I like GrowthZone. It is easy to use. You have excellent customer service over the phone and through chat. Not so much via email.
Pros
I like the ease of use and the integration to QuickBooks.
Cons
There is such a lag time between emailing support and finally getting a response. Chat support is much faster but sometimes I don't have time to sit and wait to chat so I'll send an email. Getting an email response takes way to long though.

Overall it has simplified several processes and removed overlapping ones. I need more in depth training because there are resources I cannot use effectively without being able to ask specific questions. I do have good luck with quick responses to specific issues from Chat Support.
Pros
The ability to streamline a lot of processes that are time consuming or redundant
Cons
The accounting integration (or lack thereof). I also wish there had been more hands on training when I was setting up (I have been a user for several years) but as a single employee entity we weren't able to devote as much time and now that we have more time and need more in depth training is sometimes cost prohibitive.

I have had a very good experience with GrowthZone. When I need help they are always so nice and helpful.
There is never going to be a product that can do 100% of what you want 100% of the time. Considering the ease of use this product meets most of our needs.
Growthzone has reached out to me several times over the course of 2 years for my thoughts about future improvements, etc. I really appreciate that and feel like I have a voice with GZ.
Pros
I love that our database, events, and billing all sync. If someone registers for an event and changes their organization for example it is so easy to get everything updated and keep the database clean.
Cons
I wish the events module was more robust, especially for conferences with exhibitors. It is very basic now.

Overall I like GrowthZone very much. It took me quite a while and a lot of frustration to figure it out and I'm still learning things, but it has greatly improved my billing and communication with members.
Pros
Having all my membership information organized in one place.
Cons
So many things seem to require too many steps to make them work correctly. Some things that seem to me should be automatic are not.

I have been using GrowthZone since April of this year and have used many databases in the past and by far GZ has been the easiest to utilize and grow accustomed to. It is very user-friendly and the customizable capabilities are unmatched!
Pros
-Incredible customizable capabilities within reports
-Widgets show a great snapshot and are also customizable to what you want
-GREAT live customer service (speedy response time)
-GZ Help feature is a game changer
-System is very user-friendly
Cons
-When live customer service is not up, sometimes your inquires do not get responded to within a week's time which is tough when it is urgent

Growth Zone has been extremely pleasant to deal with and while there have been some growing pains, things are working out well over our last year in the system.
Pros
This membership system is very easy to work with and if there are problems, the support system is top notch with the live chat and then a transcript of what was discussed. The video library has many useful sessions.
Cons
I would like to see a better way to show memberships to have a more accurate representation of numbers that are what is showing in M1.

I have enjoyed my overall experience with GrowthZone. I would recommend this platform to other organizations, especially nonprofit organizations.
Pros
The platform is user-friendly because it is easy to navigate. I create our bi-weekly newsletter and schedule networking events as well as quarterly luncheons. I can create a flyer on Canva and easily upload the documents to GrowthZone.
Cons
I create newsletters; sometimes, it isn't easy to control the spacing between text, so the email often has dead space. The newsletter is still nice.

I like it, I've used many CRM's, including, SalesForce, Anasazi, Community Care Link, and more, and this one performs on roughly the same level.
Pros
It is fairly straight forward to use and the membership/contact mgmt is top notch.
Cons
It is still fairly bland as far as appearances go, especially on the front end. I think reporting could be made easier especially in membership fee accounting.

Pros
I do like the dashboard feel, for keeping track of membership it has been better than what we were using before.
Cons
None of the features we thought were being sold actually work. From the sale, to implementation to actual use not of the features we were looking forward to using the most don't actually work or they are in "beta" testing. It feels like this is the old software solution that they have just coded on top of and made clunky instead of starting over from scratch to actually make an all in one software solution. At first we were really happy with it and then realized all of the issues and things that were not in fact actually usable features. Like discount codes, the way the blog integrates with the wordpress, not being able to get comments on our blog, no automatic email reminders for members who should be renewing, the list goes on.

I started out with ChamberMaster at a previous Chamber, and now have GrowthZone at my current post. Many things are the same yet still just different enough to be frustrating. BUT....after 3-4 years, I'm pretty much getting used to GZ.
Pros
There are many, many "things" that can be handled through GrowthZone, though a few other "things" would be nice for our types of industry.
Cons
The Customer Service turnaround time is very lax. I don't understand why GZ has elected to CLOSE on a Wednesday.....most likely one of the busiest "Chamber" days of the week, leaving many in the lurch, awaiting responses in a more timely manner.

It is easy for me to manage my member base, send out communication, log billing and print billing, manage my contacts, etc! As someone who has never used GrowthZone before, I was pleasantly surprised to learn how simple it is to manage my day to day tasks.
Pros
It is very organized and easy for me to access throughout the day. I enjoy being able to pull up records from larger companies that have sister companies below them all together and in one place.
Cons
Administrative sections and troubleshooting can get tricky for me at times.

I knew GrowthZone would improve the logistics of managing our association, but I have been blown away by just how much it has improved! I highly recommend this application!
Pros
I love the integration of the events and membership directory into our website. It helps me manage those two items much more efficiently. I love that I can create invoices within GZ. I love that my members can create login information, which allows me to continue to share information that is a benefit to our members.
Cons
I just wish I had more flexibility with the Email Marketing feature. It is great, but I had more flexibility with our former website provider that I miss in GZ. I also need to learn more about the Quickbooks integration.

Pros
-ease of use; great user interface, on both the association and member side-array of design options-ability to customize-communication options (scheduling of emails, drip campaigns, forms and surveys)-ease of billing ( we've seen an increase of dues being paid ON TIME )-website+management integration (this has made our work lives MUCH easier)-THE TOP NOTCH onboarding team and process to get us set up and running
Cons
honestly, any trouble we've run into, customer service has been amazing with walking us through or fixing the issue. We have not come across anything major in the past 15mos we've been using Growthzone.

We appreciate the customer service that we receive from Growthzone, considering the major time differences between Guam and your support staffs' locations. They are always pleasant and supportive.
Pros
Overall, we are very pleased with Growthzone as a membership management software. This has been a challenge for us in the past. We really like that everything we input about the membership in the back end integrates with the website and that we have control of managing our site. Web site templates are pleasing and up to date. Members like having access to their information and updating at their convenience.
Cons
We would greatly appreciate any support from Growthzone to integrate with Quickbooks. Having our membership information align with our accounting would be a dream. Right now we export with excel but we are still having to work out discrepancies between the two platforms. We also request that Growthzone works with other credit card application software such as Paypal. Right now our members cannot pay on-demand as many would like. We would work with Stripe but this program will not work with us in Guam, even if Guam is a U.S. Territory. Any support Growthzone can provide in this area would be greatly appreciated.

GrowthZone allows me to communicate effortlessly with my members, staff, and the public. It covers project planning that the whole team can stay on track. We can offer our advertisers great looking reports on the performance of their ads. We can easily track data to make informed decisions. We can quickly get answers for our Board through the reports function as well and the dashboard let's us know exactly where we are and what we need to focus on in the next quarter.
Pros
Capacity is key in any business. If a business does not have the capacity to fulfill its mission, it dies. Operating a small, rural chamber with big goals and a staff of 4 to manage 470 members without GrowthZone would be a nightmare. From the internal management to the member benefits, GrowthZone allows us to stand out in our community as their advocate and partner in growing their business. The customer service and technical service is above the bar in knowledge and attentiveness. They allow us a to operate at a more professional and top-tier level than other member-based organizations without this service.
Cons
There are only a few cons which pertain to technical features for the back-of-the-house users such as not being able to preview blog posts prior to publishing and having different banner size options for our sponsors.

Overall, as one of the first associations to use this program. I think it is great and has only gotten better with time and updates. I really like the time saving features this AMS has brought to our board. Initially it was a struggle for us to adopt but in over a year and a half of using GZ - It is clear I would never want to change systems.
Pros
I like the email designer and the landing page creator. It has seen many updates and I can't wait to see where it goes - I've liked all the changes so far and it makes my job easier and helps me avoid unnecessary 3rd party sources when possible. I also really think the event pages are great and it makes it easier for us to promote our classes/events.
Cons
I would say the forms - There seems to be a disconnect in some places when I am creating or editing our membership applications or surveys. There is a lot of different tabs I have to open to find what I want and sometimes the option to edit certain items seem to be completely lost to me. I like to think I'm relatively good figuring things out on a computer with a Marketing and CS degree but this is where I get lost. Would love to see the member applications and forms section get streamlined in general so it's all in one place. Also, I would love to see the website integrations get touched up a little, you can tell the difference between our page and the GZ implemented ones because it seems some elements get moved around or changed a little, but for what it is and what it adds it is really impressive!
