Easy to Use Community and Knowledge Base

Overall a great experience with implementing the tool. Our Forumbee instance looks exactly like our own site and it blends in seamlessly.

Pros

The Support I received from Forumbee was great! Our Account Manager was with us for the whole journey and I appreciated their willingness to help and answer any questions we had.

Cons

There's little things here and there like we wish we could make events recurring.

Alternatives Considered

Reasons for Switching to Forumbee

The price and the low amount of dev resources needed for implementation.

Steamlining an abstract idea

Reviewed on 2018-01-19

Pros

We use forumbee for our Community as a Church as an alternative to social media sites. Its more organized and targeted for discussions and questions asked by the parishioners. It has created a private space where people can post about relevant topics. I'm not sure if anyone else has considered using a forum style software for something like a Parish But it has brought us together (especially the younger crowd) in a whole new way. Get creative with it!

Cons

It can be a little difficult to keep track of all of the users. I feel it can visually become a little cluttered and disorganized.

The most intuitive SAAS product in our tech stack

Reviewed on 2021-05-12

We’ve had an amazing experience with Forumbee - from the demo stage in learning about their product to the launch of this service across our entire company. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is fantastic to work with - I appreciate we’ve had the same contact the entire time making the onboarding process seamless.

The service is intuitive, highly customizable and was an incredibly smooth experience to get adoption quickly across the entire company.

As someone who tested multiple knowledge management systems over the course of a year and could never find something that met all our needs, Forumbee solved so many of our problems. We’ve had no issues whatsoever after deciding to move forward with them. I could not recommend them enough.

Pros

After a year long search, we settled on Forumbee and couldn’t be happier with this decision. Whether you’re a user or admin, the user experience is incredibly intuitive. In addition to this, the service we receive is fantastic, especially from our dedicated rep [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN]. She responds to every question within a matter of hours.

We are a very process heavy organization and this service has been a game changer in having a central hub of documentation, giving our people the answers they need in the quickest and easiest route.

Cons

While the customization in matching our website is great, there’s limitations in how much we can customize within an actual article like easily embedding videos.

Response from Forumbee

Hi Christine, we are thrilled to hear you have had a great experience with Forumbee! Thank you very much for your feedback and your kind words! We look forward to continuing to support you and your team. Thanks also for the feedback on article customization! We will follow up to assist with that.

Forumbee online community is a great draw for users

Reviewed on 2021-05-20

Our company develops and manages web sites and we’ve been integrating Forumbee into our solutions for years. The Forumbee product provides the functions our clients want in an online community. It is a powerful value-add feature that users find easy to use and visit frequently.

Forumbee integrates easily and well with our programming features like single-sign-on. The Forumbee team is very supportive and responsive whenever we need them.

Pros

Users like the features they find in the Forumbee online community. And I like that users 'get it' quickly and require little support or training. Our team finds it is easy to setup and customize with a logo, themes, and features

Cons

More tailorable layouts and more color and style themes would be a nice enhancement.

Response from Forumbee

Hi Kevin, thank you very much for sharing your feedback! We are extremely happy to hear that you have had a such a positive experience! We truly appreciate your business for the last several years and look forward to continuing to support you in your community initiatives!

Outstanding customer service and support

Reviewed on 2021-05-21

Excellent thanks to Alexia!

Pros

We introduced Forumbee to our network for our first online annual conference and it was adopted with great enthusiasm. Our customer service support person, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], is always available with helpful tips. She is patient and able to work with non-tech staff members. A true pleasure to work with which is why we have expanded our use of the platform to include our peer learning and working groups, as well as a Member Space.

Cons

We would greatly appreciate that notifications include the organization of the person who is joining. Currently, it only features the name and country. With organizational members in 150 countries, it is impossible to identify if the new participant belongs to a member organization or not. We fervently hope the programmers will make this important change!

Response from Forumbee

Hi Carla, thank you for taking time to write a review! We are very glad that Forumbee was adopted enthusiastically by your network, and that your support experience has been so positive! We appreciate your feedback on the content of the email notifications, our product team will review this. Thanks again!

Forumbee: A Fantastic Forum

Reviewed on 2021-05-12

We have nothing but positive things to say about our experience with Forumbee, from the ease of use and implementation to the excellent customer service.

Pros

Intuitive, secure, and remarkable support response when needed very infrequently over the years.

Cons

We use this for an educational program, so one feature I would love is if we could set a time for threads to close automatically (for example, at the homework deadline time.)

Response from Forumbee

Hi Debbie, thank you for taking time to share your feedback! We truly appreciate your business and are very happy to hear that you have had a positive experience. Thanks also for sharing your feature request! We are tracking it to be considered in our future product development plans. If there is anything else we can do to assist, please let us know.

Pros

Super easy to get up and running! Our solutions team regularly made posts of creative analyses that we were able to easily send as links to our customers when they've asked for help, rather than having to walk them through the solution every time

Cons

Wish it was easier to customize the look / feel.

Response from Forumbee

Hi Neha, thanks very much for sharing your experience! We are happy you were able to benefit from sharing solutions with your customers. We have new features in the works to give you greater control over theming and design. Thanks again for your feedback!

After spending months researching and testing different forum options, ForumBee won hands down!

Reviewed on 2018-07-09

Pros

Everything. We tried multiple forum providers including Plush, Mobilize, Facebook Groups, and Vanilla Forums. All for different reasons, none of these guys were able to meet our needs. ForumBee literally has everything that we were looking for to support our 6000+ member community. We are so thankful for them, and we highly recommend them.

Cons

The largest downside to ForumBee is their unwillingness to connect on the phone. I can appreciate the value of them doing this; however, it's been a frustration for us to not be able to develop a deeper relationship with them. We want to be a part of making ForumBee better, but it's going to be difficult when all communication is based in email.

Great Experience

Reviewed on 2018-10-19

As a membership organization trying to find our first community platform that could work for a broad audience from the tech averse to the tech savvy, after much evaluation we chose ForumBee. Alexia and her team are a pleasure to work with and are super responsive. The pricing is modest compared to other platforms that might have more bells and whistles which may, or may not get used.

Pros

Has a straightforward, easy to use but robust set of features

Cons

I would like to add users to a specific category, which can only be done right now with closed categories, otherwise they are invited to the forum generally. This is not a big deal.

We were able to set up a site that had a customised digital library, forum, member profiles, and built-in live event broadcasting within just a few weeks. Thanks a lot Forumbee!

Pros

Thoughtful, simple and well designed, Forumbee's software is easy to use and simple to set-up and customise. Our team and the platform's users find it very intuitive. All the essential security and reporting features are also available. Many thanks to [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] who helped with the design, account set-up, support, training and everything else for the project.

Cons

There could be one or two additional features (e.g. Zoom integration) but it's better to have a simpler well-built product than some of the complex services available in the market.

Alternatives Considered

Reasons for Choosing Forumbee

Thoughts on Forumbee

Reviewed on 2021-05-12

This has been a very good tool for Incorta and got us a really great community site with almost no build effort on our own.

Pros

The product is really easy to use and administer. The customer support is world class, consultative, and creative when it comes to problem solving.

Cons

There certainly are areas of the product I wish were a bit more configurable, like showing information about posters to others, allowing for posters to carry badges or show accomplishments.

Response from Forumbee

Forumbee is amazing--and it's the customer-centric focus that makes it so!

Reviewed on 2021-05-13

Exceptional. Forumbee has been responsive to each and every one of our queries and concerns.

Pros

Forumbee staff members consistently go above and beyond to address our concerns and try to meet our unique needs. They have built so many customizable features for us that I'm positive other customers are not requesting. In addition to the stellar service, this software is easy to use, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully created. Loving the software you (and 400+ others) use on a regular basis is important!

Cons

There are some text formatting challenges in the use of this product. For example, text formatting transferred from another document is not always retained. Additionally, the more our community/posts grow, the more difficult it becomes to search with accuracy. Forumbee has made improvements in these areas and continues to do so.

Response from Forumbee

Hi Apryl, thank you so much for your amazing review, we are truly grateful! Our team has enjoyed working with you and the Kiva team over the years and are thrilled that Forumbee has been a valuable solution for your organization. We look forward to bringing continued improvements to text formatting and search functions. Thank you for your insights and feedback!

Amazing product and support

We have branded help centers for a dual sided marketplace as well as an internal help center, and we have always received incredible support from [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] in particular.

Pros

[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] !!!! Also how customizable/brandable everything is.

Cons

My only small qualm is the search functionality and keyword tagging capabilities aren't quite at the level of expect. This is easily remedied by learning the title or contents of your articles, which doesn't take long. I also wish there were a way to override CSS in one-off scenarios. So minor, though!!

Response from Forumbee

Hi Kaitie, thank you so much for your review! Best customer service we have ever experienced

Fantastic

Pros

The software is easy to understand and use. The admin side of things is very intuitive and simple to set up so non-developers can moderate the forums. The best part of everything though was the customer service. Without a doubt, the most attentive and helpful customer service we have ever experienced with a 3rd party service. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has been extremely helpful the entire time we have used Forumbee. Not only did he answer our questions when we had them, but he also gave extremely detailed step-by-step instructions on how to implement various features. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] gave us great recommendations that helped us keep our custom code simpler and easier to manage in the long term.

10/10 application. 11/10 customer service.
